This week the WBN News community is celebrating an extraordinary milestone as publisher, editor, journalist and photographer Elke Porter reaches her 900th published article with WBN News.
It is a number worth celebrating.
Behind those 900 articles are hundreds of hours of research, writing, photography, editing, attending events, meeting people and following stories from Vancouver to communities around the world.
But perhaps most importantly, there are 900 opportunities Elke has taken to tell a story.

Elke has become one of the most prolific voices within the WBN News community.
Her articles cover an unusually broad range of subjects — Vancouver and Canadian news, international affairs, business, technology, artificial intelligence, culture, sports, community events and stories connecting Canada with Europe.
That variety reflects what WBN News was created to encourage: people sharing knowledge, expertise and stories from their own communities while connecting those stories to a wider world.
Elke has embraced that idea 900 times.
