Thought #8: Naming It Gives It Structure; Part 1

Before you build the year, name it. One word, just one, that captures how you want 2026 to feel when you’re living it, not just posting about it. That word becomes your filter, your compass, and your built-in verbal garbage detector.

What Do I Want? (The BRIMMM Check-In)
B — Body:
Do: choose energy over exhaustion. Don’t: glorify burnout like it’s a badge of honor.
R — Relationships: Do: invest in people who reciprocate. Don’t: carry connections that drain your bandwidth.
I — Impact: Do: aim for meaningful wins, not just visible ones. Don’t: confuse busy with valuable.
M — Mind: Do: protect your focus like capital. Don’t: let negative self-talk set the agenda.
M — Money: Do: prioritize sustainability and growth. Don’t: make impulsive decisions out of fear or comparison.
M — Mastery: Do: commit to getting better at what actually moves the needle. Don’t: chase every shiny new skill.

Using a simple phrase or word and running it through BRIMMM turns vague intentions into daily decision-making tools. This works because clarity creates consistency, and consistency is how dreams quietly become results.

Leah’s Take: If you can name the year, you can run the year.
