How NOT to Hurt Your Business

Entrepreneurship is built on relationships. Every client, partner, or referral comes from human connection. That’s why blocking and unfriending, while easy in personal life, can devastate business.

When you cut people out instead of addressing conflict, you also cut off potential opportunities. The client you block today could have been the one to refer five more tomorrow. The colleague you unfriend could have been your next collaborator.

This is also true of "Facebook" friends, or any other social platforms. You don't know who knows who.

Blocking damages trust. People talk, networks overlap, and your reputation follows. Leaders who avoid resolution are seen as reactive, not reliable. In contrast, leaders who work through conflict become trusted and respected.

From a spiritual and emotional standpoint, avoidance weakens you. It shrinks your capacity for empathy, communication, and resilience. From a business standpoint, it weakens your bottom line.

The better path? Boundaries, not blocks. Honest conversations, not avoidance. When you lean into resolution, you grow stronger relationships — and stronger businesses.

Blocking doesn’t just hurt people. It hurts profits. And wise entrepreneurs know: people and profits are always connected. Always!
