Oilers Close In on Final, Canes Force Game 5

The Edmonton Oilers are on the cusp of their second consecutive Stanley Cup Final appearance after a decisive 4–1 win over the Dallas Stars in Game 4 of the Western Conference Final. Leon Draisaitl and Corey Perry each tallied a goal and an assist, while goaltender Stuart Skinner made 28 saves to anchor the defense.

Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Connor McDavid contributed two assists apiece, showcasing the team's offensive depth. Kasperi Kapanen and Adam Henrique sealed the victory with empty-net goals in the final minutes.

Despite the loss, Dallas had control of much of the play but failed to capitalize. Jason Robertson scored the lone goal for the Stars, and goalie Jake Oettinger made 29 saves.

The Oilers are now 9–0 in Game 4s over their past three playoff runs, demonstrating their ability to perform under pressure.

🌀 Hurricanes Avoid Elimination with Game 4 Shutout

In the Eastern Conference Final, the Carolina Hurricanes staved off elimination with a 3–0 victory over the Florida Panthers in Game 4. Goaltender Frederik Andersen stopped all 20 shots he faced, earning his fifth career postseason shutout.

Logan Stankoven opened the scoring in the second period, marking his first NHL point. Sebastian Aho and Jordan Staal added empty-net goals to secure the win. Reuters
