Bayern Munich's very own (former player) Thomas Müller will continue playing football! After weeks of speculation following his departure from Bayern Munich, the 35-year-old German icon has confirmed he's not ready to hang up his boots and is seriously considering a move to Major League Soccer.

Müller is currently only interested in a move to LAFC, according to recent reports from Sky Sports Germany. The Los Angeles-based club has emerged as the clear frontrunner in negotiations, with the deal reportedly in advanced stages. This comes after Philadelphia Union's sporting director Ernst Tanner confirmed they were offered Müller but declined due to his high salary demands - a financial challenge that LAFC appears willing to meet.

The sight of Müller in Toronto, Ontario has only fueled speculation about his North American future, as fans caught glimpses of the Bayern legend exploring potential new horizons across the continent.

From Bavarian Roots to Global Stardom

Born on September 13, 1989, in Weilheim in Oberbayern, Germany, Müller's journey began humbly. He played as a youth for TSV Pähl, and at the age of 10 he made the 50-kilometre journey to join local Bundesliga side Bayern Munich in 2000. What followed was a remarkable quarter-century career that would etch his name in football history.

Müller is the most decorated German footballer in history with 34 trophies, a testament to his extraordinary career. His trophy cabinet includes multiple Bundesliga titles, Champions League victories, and the crown jewel - the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil, where he received the Silver Boot as second-top scorer (five goals) and Silver Ball as second-best player.

Müller is a two-time UEFA Champions League winner (2013 and 2020), and his domestic dominance is equally impressive. Of his 502 Bundesliga games, Müller has won an incredible 361, which is the most of any player in the league's history.

Following German Footsteps in MLS

Should the LAFC deal materialize, Müller would join a growing contingent of German stars finding success in MLS. His former national team colleague Marco Reus is currently thriving at LA Galaxy, while the league continues to attract world-class talent like Lionel Messi at Inter Miami.

At 35 years old, Thomas Müller appears ready to cap his illustrious career with a fresh challenge outside Germany. For LAFC, securing Müller would represent another marquee signing that could provide invaluable experience to their title-contending squad and further elevate MLS's global profile.

As negotiations continue, one thing remains certain: wherever Müller lands, his legendary status and winning mentality will make an immediate impact on American soccer.
