One of the most underused tools on LinkedIn is also one of the most powerful: the Featured section.

Tucked beneath your “About” section, the Featured area allows you to highlight content that tells your story, proves your value, and builds instant credibility. Most users leave it blank—or worse, clutter it with random links. But used strategically, it becomes a digital portfolio that sells for you.

Here’s what to include to position yourself as a trusted expert:

  1. Your best-performing content – Add a post that received high engagement to show your voice and thought leadership.
  2. Lead magnets or free resources – A downloadable checklist, guide, or toolkit builds value while capturing interest.
  3. Media appearances or podcasts – Show your audience you're trusted by other platforms.
  4. Client testimonials or case studies – Results speak louder than buzzwords.

Featured content isn’t just for showcasing what you’ve done—it’s for starting conversations. When someone visits your profile and sees evidence of your work, they’re far more likely to trust and reach out.

Think of the Featured section as your highlight reel. Don’t let it go to waste. Your authority is only as strong as what you show.
