Little Women Comes Alive This December

This December, Vancouver's beloved Roedde House Museum will transport visitors back to 1865 Massachusetts for an enchanting encounter with literature's most beloved sisters. "Christmas with the Marches," running from Friday, December 5th through Tuesday, December 23rd, invites audiences to celebrate the holidays alongside Meg, Jo, Beth, Amy, and their wise mother, Marmee, in an immersive theatrical experience inspired by Louisa May Alcott's timeless classic, Little Women.

Created and produced by Hidden Stages—a company known for crafting experiential environments that blur the line between audience and performance—this unique holiday gathering is equal parts immersive theatre and festive soirée. Guests won't simply watch the March family's story unfold; they'll become part of it, singing carols, raising toasts, and participating in a celebration that explores themes of growing up, giving generously, and discovering one's true identity beyond societal expectations.

Set against the backdrop of the Civil War era, the experience delves into the joys and challenges of womanhood through the eyes of four sisters finding their paths in a changing world. Through laughter, loss, and candlelight, the evening offers both entertainment and reflection—a chance to explore many definitions of strength, ambition, creativity, and compassion while enjoying the warmth of genuine community.
