10 Things to Think About Before January 01, 2026

Thought #9- Part 2: Answering These  Questions Will  Make This Exercise Compelling

This is where planning gets honest, and honesty is expensive, but worth it.

Start with the most important question first: What don’t I want in my life this year?

Name the habits, obligations, relationships, or thought patterns that quietly drain your energy and dilute your ambition.

Next, define your big WHY; the reason this year matters beyond metrics. Then look back at when you felt most joyful and carefree; that’s data, not nostalgia. Be bold here: acknowledge what made you better, what diminished you, and yes, what once felt impossible that you figured out anyway; this is your permission to self-congratulate and recognize your own resilience.

Using these questions together creates a personal operating system rooted in truth, not fantasy. When you’re clear on what you’re done tolerating and why you’re moving forward, your decisions naturally align with a year that feels lighter, stronger, and more joyful.

Leah’s Take: Clarity isn’t about fixing yourself; it’s about finally listening to what you truly believe.
