I've run one marathon - in 2006 Time: 4hrs 42 minutes. I remember it like yesterday. Pouring rain turned to blue sky by the end. Tired, but happy. This year's Marathon is Sunday May 4, 2025. It's sold out. Here's the link for registered runners for their Package Pickup: Package Pickup
The BMO Vancouver Marathon, established in 1972, has evolved into Canada's largest marathon, attracting participants from around the globe. The inaugural race saw 46 entrants, with 32 finishers completing five loops around Stanley Park. https://runvan.org/event/bmo-vancouver-marathon/
In 2025, the marathon reached a record registration of over 25,000 runners from more than 65 countries. The current course, renowned for its scenic beauty, starts at Queen Elizabeth Park, traverses through Pacific Spirit Park and UBC, follows the shoreline via NW Marine Drive, crosses the Burrard Bridge, and loops around Stanley Park before finishing in downtown Vancouver. 2025 Marathon Route
