Subscription to WBN and being a Writer is FREE!

Reaching 500 published articles on the WBN.Digital platform is more than a personal milestone—it's a tribute to the community that made it possible.

When I first began writing for Westcoast German News, I never imagined this path would lead to WBN.Digital, where I would join forces with a remarkable group of writers, business leaders, and tech-savvy entrepreneurs. One of the first people to walk this journey with me was Jenny Holly Hanson, an insurance professional and prolific writer who motivated me more than she knows. In the early days, Jenny was a powerhouse—churning out articles with speed and clarity that inspired (and challenged!) me to keep up. Her consistency and professionalism set a high bar.

A huge thank you also goes out to the Kitsilano Connectors, a Tuesday-morning networking group that meets at Stages Bistro & Lounge. It’s where encouragement flows freely alongside coffee and conversation.

Marilyn Anderson serves as the ever-gracious moderator, keeping the flow smooth and engaging. Karalee Greer, another local writer now contributing to Vancouver, Kitsilano, and Sea-to-Sky content in partnership with me, was the one who invited me into the World Referral Network, helping launch this next chapter of my writing and networking life.

And then there’s George Moen, founder of WBN.News and serial entrepreneur, whose ability to learn new tools, pitch new ideas, and entertain with facts is legendary. He defines entrepreneurial energy. His ability to quickly master new technologies, pitch a fresh business idea daily, and deliver obscure yet fascinating facts with impeccable timing has made him a centerpiece in any room he walks into. His presence in the digital world is equally bold—he’s an early adopter of AI, a social media communicator with impact, and a thought leader who keeps others thinking two steps ahead.

This list wouldn’t be complete without:

  • Troy Tyrell – personal trainer, wellness advocate, founder of Tsquared Fitness
  • Teddy Nedelcu – Drone expert, tech enthusiast and cybersecurity consultant
  • Charles Brooks – Business Consulting. Working with small and startup companies in the tech sector. Associate of Impressario
  • Joseph Willmott – Businessman and Entrepreneur, CEO of the World Referral Network and Chariman of the World Ethics Association
  • Sim Garriott – “Just Ask Sim,” a business consultant who offers business solutions, along with Legal Shield Services
  • Monika Becker – business coach and strategic thinker on the edge of transition

Through their mentorship and support, I’ve:

  • Learned to use AI writing tools
  • Practiced public speaking
  • Gained media credentials for world-class events like the Web Summit
  • Transitioned my blog into a digital news brand with reach and relevance
  • Met hundreds of new people at various online and offline events

As I mark this 500-article milestone, I am reminded that success isn't a solo act—it's a shared journey. Thank you to everyone who’s been a part of mine.

P.S. Just because I didn't mention certain names in this article doesn't mean others haven't played crucial roles in my journey. I want to especially acknowledge Shawn Bearman, who provides thoughtful consulting sessions for entrepreneurs navigating uncertainty through the World Referral Network—her insights and encouragement have meant more than she knows. I'm also deeply grateful to Diana MacDonald, my very first publisher, whose kindness, encouragement, and guidance made success feel not just possible, but inevitable.
