Vancouver’s beloved VanDusen Botanical Garden is turning 50, and the community is invited to join in a spectacular anniversary celebration on Saturday, August 30, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. This golden milestone will be marked with live entertainment, hands-on activities, garden tours, delicious food, and a joyful gathering of plant lovers from across the city. From its humble beginnings in 1975 to becoming a world-class botanical treasure, VanDusen has been a place of inspiration, education, and natural beauty for five decades.

What to See and Do

Spread across 55 acres, the Garden offers a stunning variety of plant collections from around the globe. Stroll winding paths, take in colourful blooms, and join historic tours led by knowledgeable Garden Guides. Visitors of all ages can enjoy interactive art and educational programs designed to connect people to nature.

Live Entertainment Schedule

The Great Lawn will host a full day of performances by local musicians and cultural groups, adding lively rhythms to the serene setting. Entertainment will run throughout the day, providing something for everyone — from classical ensembles to upbeat folk and world music acts.
