As Halloween approaches, Kitsilano gears up for a festive celebration filled with community spirit and family-friendly activities.

This year promises an exciting lineup of events that highlight the best of the season, from pumpkin patches to paddles on the water.

On October 24, Kitsilano Beach will transform into a vibrant urban pumpkin patch from 12 PM to 3 PM. This free pop-up event invites families to enjoy games, photo opportunities, and, of course, select a pumpkin for just $10. Costumes are encouraged, making it an ideal outing for kids and parents alike. Kitsilano Beach will also host the Annual Witchilano Paddle on October 4 at 11 AM. This whimsical event sees paddleboarders donning creative witch costumes as they navigate from Kitsilano Beach to Granville Island and back—all in support of SHARE Family and Community Services. On October 31, the Kitsilano Community Centre will host the Halloween Howl, featuring crafts, cookie decorating, and face painting for children.
