Vancouver's premier bike-sharing program, Mobi by Rogers, has transformed how residents and visitors explore the city since its launch nine years ago. As a partnership between Vancouver Bike Share Inc. and Rogers Communications, with Simplii Financial sponsoring the e-bike fleet, Mobi offers an accessible, eco-friendly transportation solution perfectly suited to Vancouver's bike-friendly streets.
The system boasts an impressive network of 2,000 classic bikes and 600 e-bikes across 250+ stations throughout the city, making it easy to find a bike when you need one. Available 24/7 year-round, Mobi bikes can be picked up at one station and returned to any other, ideal for one-way commutes, errands, or leisurely rides along the seawall.
Getting started is simple. Download the app or visit the website to create an account, select a plan, and receive your unique user code. At any station, wake the bike by pressing "Enter," input your seven-digit code and PIN, and you're ready to ride. The e-bikes, which have logged over 1.1 million rides since 2022—nearly double that of classic bikes—provide an extra boost for Vancouver's hills.
Beyond convenience, Mobi represents a commitment to sustainability and community. As a certified Living Wage employer with 60+ local staff, the organization prioritizes both environmental and social responsibility. Their Community Pass Program has provided over 1,500 Vancouverites with affordable access to bike share, ensuring equity remains central to their mission.
Whether you're commuting to work, exploring neighborhoods, or simply enjoying Vancouver's natural beauty, Mobi by Rogers offers a healthy, sustainable alternative to traditional transportation while helping reduce the city's carbon footprint—one pedal stroke at a time.
