Vancouver will once again be at the forefront of clean energy innovation as it welcomes hy-fcell Canada, the nation’s premier hydrogen and fuel cell summit, from June 3 to 5, 2025. This highly anticipated event will bring together global industry leaders, innovators, and policymakers to explore the latest advancements and opportunities in hydrogen technology.
Organized over three days, the summit kicks off on June 3 with a full day of technical tours, giving attendees exclusive behind-the-scenes access to cutting-edge hydrogen facilities. These tours, supported by Invest Vancouver, highlight regional innovation hubs such as HTEC, Hydrogen In Motion Inc., AVL Fuel Cell Canada, and Powertech Labs.
The main event follows on June 4 and 5 with a dynamic two-day conference and international exhibition. Participants can expect insightful plenary sessions, panels, workshops, and keynotes that explore every facet of the hydrogen value chain—from policy and finance to production, storage, and end-use applications in transportation, industry, and energy.
This year’s program also highlights Indigenous-led hydrogen projects, featuring leaders like Tsekonámus Rosemary Stager (Líl̓wat Business Group) and Cora Moffat (Sea to Sky Energy Solutions), underscoring the importance of community-led clean energy initiatives.
British Columbia, home to over 50 hydrogen-related companies and a $375 million sector, is a leader in the global hydrogen economy. Since 2021, the province has attracted proposals for over 40 hydrogen projects worth an estimated $4.8 billion. With Canada now exporting fuel cell products to 42 countries, the momentum is undeniable.
