LinkedIn can be a goldmine for real estate leads and partnerships—if you’re using it right. Unfortunately, many real estate professionals are unknowingly sabotaging their presence on the platform.

Here are the top five mistakes real estate pros make on LinkedIn—and how to fix them:

  1. Boring, Vague Headlines
Your headline should go beyond “Realtor” or “Investor.” Speak to those you help and what outcome you deliver.
Fix: “Helping buyers & investors build wealth through real estate in Kelowna.”
  2. No Profile Banner
The default blue banner does nothing for your brand.
Fix: Add a custom image that includes your tagline, logo, or a property shot.
  3. Zero Content Strategy
Posting once every few months won’t cut it.
Fix: Post 1–3 times per week—client wins, property tips, and personal insights work well.
  4. No Call to Action in the Summary
Many profiles tell a story but never guide the reader.
Fix: End with a simple CTA like, “Message me to learn about investment-ready deals.”
  5. Ignoring Comments & DMs
You’re leaving warm leads on the table by ghosting engagement.
Fix: Check LinkedIn daily and respond to comments to boost visibility.

Real estate is personal—your LinkedIn should feel that way too.
