The danger multiplies when AI doesn't just get facts wrong, but invents them convincingly. An AI might cite non-existent studies, create fictional legal precedents, or manufacture financial projections from whole cloth. Protecting Your Organization

•Fourth, understand your AI tool's limitations. Different models have different strengths and weaknesses. Know when you're pushing beyond reliable territory.
•Finally, train your team. Everyone using AI tools must understand hallucination risks and verification protocols.
AI offers remarkable productivity gains, but treating it as infallible invites disaster. The organizations that thrive will be those that harness AI's power while maintaining rigorous human verification—because in business and governance, being confidently wrong is far worse than being cautiously uncertain.
