Abbotsford has always been a city with heart. From its entrepreneurial spirit to its rich agricultural roots, this community thrives on connection, innovation, and a shared love for supporting local. Spend any time here and you’ll quickly understand why so many professionals, families, and business owners proudly call Abbotsford home. It’s a place where opportunity feels close at hand—and where some of the best restaurants in the Fraser Valley are tucked into every corner.
Yet behind the scenes, restaurants across British Columbia are facing real challenges. Rising costs and shifting economic pressures have made it increasingly difficult for many to keep their doors open. These are the same establishments that host our meetings, fuel our conversations, and shape the culture of our neighbourhoods. They are woven into the fabric of community life.
That’s why I’m excited to give something back.
On January 13, 2026, I’ll be hosting the very first Abbotsford Connect networking event—a gathering created to bring local professionals together, spark collaboration, and strengthen the business community right here at home. My vision is simple: connect people who care about Abbotsford in Abbotsford, while shining a spotlight on the incredible restaurants that make our city such a vibrant place to live and work.
In support of our local hospitality partners, there are no fees to attend Abbotsford Connect. Instead, I’m asking attendees to purchase food and drinks during the event so we can directly support the restaurant that’s graciously opening its space to us. Your meal becomes more than a meal—it becomes a contribution to keeping local businesses strong.
Abbotsford is full of talent, passion, and potential. When we choose to come together, we amplify all three. I can’t wait to welcome fellow professionals, entrepreneurs, and community leaders for an evening of connection, collaboration, and celebration of the incredible city we call home.
Here’s to new relationships, shared success, and supporting the businesses that fuel our community.
