Signy, Switzerland, July 2025 – Swiss luxury watchmaker TAG Heuer has announced the relocation of key departments from its Eysins branch to a new, modern facility in Signy, Switzerland. This strategic move brings together the company's Commercial, Marketing, Product & Design, Human Resources, Procurement, Legal, and IT departments under one roof to support continued growth.

From Lake Geneva Region to Strategic Corridor

The relocation sees over 100 employees moving from Eysins – a small municipality near Nyon on the shores of Lake Geneva, roughly equivalent to moving from a lakeside community like Kelowna – to the new Signy facility. Located strategically between Geneva (Switzerland's international hub, comparable to Vancouver's role in Western Canada) and Lausanne (the Olympic capital, similar to Ottawa's significance), Signy sits adjacent to the Nyon motorway exit, providing excellent connectivity.

For Canadian context, this move is like relocating from a smaller lakeside office to a purpose-built facility along the Highway 401 corridor between Toronto and Montreal – positioning the company for optimal access to both international connections and domestic operations.

Modern, Sustainable Workspace

The new 2,904-square-meter facility can accommodate up to 180 employees and meets Switzerland's rigorous Minergie energy efficiency standards – equivalent to Canada's LEED Gold certification. The building features solar panels to partially power operations, reflecting TAG Heuer's commitment to sustainable business practices.

The facility prioritizes employee wellbeing with full accessibility features, nursing and rest rooms, a spacious cafeteria, and integrated greenery throughout the workspace. These amenities create a collaborative environment supporting innovation and employee health.

Strategic Positioning for Growth

While maintaining easy access to TAG Heuer's main manufacturing headquarters in La Chaux-de-Fonds in the Jura Mountains (about 150 kilometers northeast, comparable to the distance between Toronto and Kingston), the Signy location provides superior connectivity to international subsidiaries through nearby Geneva's airport and business district.

This consolidation represents a significant milestone in TAG Heuer's long-term growth strategy, bringing together previously dispersed departments to enhance collaboration and operational efficiency as the 165-year-old luxury brand continues expanding its global presence across 139 countries.
