From our first breath, modern Western humans become disconnected from our ancestry. Of the 100 billion humans that have lived, most were born in nature. Indigenous North Americans gave birth by the fireside in a shelter. Pregnant Africans might choose a sacred stone or tree canopy for birthing. These cultures understood that babies don't just come into the world; they come from it.

Not us; not anymore. Western infants enter a synthetic, sterile box with a blinding light dominated by artificial frequencies.

This day-one, breath-one, disconnection leaves us unrooted. And hoists upon us the responsibility to re-pattern, bolstering our humanity and rejuvenating our leadership instincts.

The world is changing so fast, adaptation – not innovation – is the new operative noun. And adaptation must begin with our own sweet, natural selves.

This means occasionally doing a 180 away from modernity and into nature. Your own nature. Below are some questions to help you re-pattern:

• How does your body respond to concrete vs. soil, screens vs. sky?

• What micro-habits could help you weave wildness back into your daily life?

• What might change if you treated nature as your birthright, not just a backdrop?

• Do you notice a difference in your breath when you're inside versus outside?

• When walking, are you using your calves? (These are your 'second heart')

• What smells in nature unlock memories for you?

• When was the last time you didn't just take, but gave something back to the land?

• What part of your life feels most ‘unwild’? How might you begin to rewild it?

• What's your favourite season, and how could you invest a week in nature at that time?

• What part of you feels like it’s been living indoors too long?

• What would change if you treated nature not as your escape, but as your home?

These inquiries aren't about nudging you to grab a sleeping bag and bolt to live in the woods. They're about moving back into you, and your innately wise, adaptive nature.

Nature is the ultimate adaptation strategy because wisdom is equally distributed throughout Her. She always makes the right decision. And so can we. Particularly after reconnecting to Her frequencies.

Nature is more than an excursion. It's a reunion with wisdom and immersion in the energy of adaptation.
