Summer in Southeast Texas or other subtropical don't mess around — and if you’re trying to fit workouts into your leadership lifestyle, timing is everything.
The wrong time to exercise? High noon. (I can't tell you how many people I see running right at noon!)
The right time? When your body can thrive — not just survive.
Exercising in extreme heat can lead to dehydration, dizziness, muscle fatigue, and even heat stroke. For business owners juggling long days and high stress, that’s not just dangerous — it’s disruptive.
Here’s how to move smart in summer:
⏰ Best times to work out:
☀️ Early morning (5:30–8:30 a.m.) — Cooler air, more oxygen, and a metabolic boost to start your day with clarity and momentum.
🌇 Evening (7:00–9:00 p.m.) — Temperatures dip again, giving your body room to move without overheating. Just avoid screens and intense light after to preserve sleep quality.
And while working out, make sure to drink a little water.
🌿 Bonus tips:
And remember: movement doesn’t have to be intense to be effective. Walking, stretching, or dancing to your favorite playlist still counts — especially if done consistently.
Your body is your business partner. Move it wisely. Lead with energy.
